IPS

The Integrated Planning System (IPS) is a broad planning and monitoring framework which aims to ensure that the core policy and financial processes developed by the GoA function in an integrated manner.

The National Strategy for Development and Integration (NSDI) 2007-2013, was approved by Council of Ministers on 12 March 2008. The NSDI is based on 38 sector and cross cutting strategies.

External Assistance

By coordinating the external assistance in Albania, DSDC provides a government point of contact and orientation for donors with respect to strategic matters as defined in the National Strategy for Development and Integration, thus strengthening government leadership in this process...

Donor Coordination Conference was held in Albania on 2-3 April 2009

Government of Albania and European Commission - Directorate General Enlargement organized the Donor Co-ordination Conference for Western Balkans and Turkey held on 2-3 April 2009 in Tirana, Albania. The Conference brought together representatives of the International Financial Institutions, EU Member States, non-EU donors, and countries from Western Balkans and Turkey

8th Meeting of IPS Support Group on 30.01.2009

On 30 January 2009, the Government called the 8th meeting of the IPS Support Group. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Finance, Sherefedin Shehu and saw the participation from the DSDC, Department for Public Administration and donors contributing to the IPS. The meeting presented the Government’s progress on IPS in 2008 and discussed the challenges for 2009.

2008 Donor Projects in Albania

The matrix of donor assistance to Albania has been updated by the DSDC and the DTS on the basis of submissions made by the donors on their various programmes with the latest update made in September 2008.

Government-Donor Roundtable 14 November 2008

On 14 November 2008, the DSDC in cooperation with the DTS held a Government-Donor Roundtable attended by Government Ministers and senior donor representatives.

2006-2007 NSDI Progress Report

On 4 and 6 November 2008, the DSDC held two roundtables for civil society and the donor community to discuss the NSDI Draft Progress Report 2006-2007

ACCRA High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness 2-4 September 2008

Over 1,200 representatives of governments of aid-receiving countries, donor institutions, foundations, parliaments, and civil society organizations gathered here today in the Third High Level Forum (HLF) on Aid Effectiveness, a three-day conference on improving the quality and impact of development assistance which took place in Accra, Ghana from 2 to 4 September 2008

2008 Survey on Monitoring Paris Declaration

The survey was launched on 14 January and completed by 31 March 2008.
