IPS Trust Fund

In order for the IPS process, its methodology and products to be better understood and implemented across government, an IPS Trust Fund has been set up to which different donors have made commitments and from which all line ministries can benefit. The multi-donor Trust Fund is managed by World Bank and aims towards capacity building and support to IPS implementation.

This Trust Fund finances several components designed to build and strengthen capacities in various government agencies for the implementation of the Integrated Planning System by ensuring that the core Government policies and financial processes are developed in an integrated manner.  These core processes are: The National Strategy for Development and Integration (NSDI), The Medium-Term Budget Programme (MTBP), Integration of the Stabilization and Association Agreement to the strategic planning and budgeting process; and Strengthening Public Investment management and donor coordination. The programme helps to support effective implementation of the IPS principles across the whole government. This will be accomplished by building sufficient and sustainable capacity in line ministries to participate fully in IPS.
