IPS

The Integrated Planning System (IPS) is a broad planning and monitoring framework which aims to ensure that the core policy and financial processes developed by the GoA function in an integrated manner.

The National Strategy for Development and Integration (NSDI) 2007-2013, was approved by Council of Ministers on 12 March 2008. The NSDI is based on 38 sector and cross cutting strategies.

External Assistance

By coordinating the external assistance in Albania, DSDC provides a government point of contact and orientation for donors with respect to strategic matters as defined in the National Strategy for Development and Integration, thus strengthening government leadership in this process...

External Assistance Progress Report 2009-2010

In the view of improving monitoring, the Department of Strategy and Donor Coordination has already made a tradition the publication of the annual report on external assistance progress. The initiative aims at increasing transparency on external funding and strengthening the Government leadership on coordination of external assistance. External Assistance Progress Report 2009-2010 provides an analytical overview of donors’ activities in Albania and mapping of their support in a variety of sectors.

Guidelines on Institutionalizing Sector Working Groups

The Guidelines on Institutionalizing Sector Working Groups to Strengthen the Implementation of the Policy and Donor Coordination at Sector Level is a document prepared in the framework of the support of Integrated Planning System Multi-Donor Trust Fund. The Guidelines aim to support SWGs in organizing and managing their work and increase effectiveness of the dialogue between the government institutions and donors.

IPS Communication Strategy

The Integrated Planning System Communication Strategy aims to propagate information in a structured manner in order to communicate to all stakeholders on the IPS implementation status and make them understand that it is an integrated process, and that it is a two-way process for gathering as well as receiving information.  It contains general information about IPS processes and its institutional structures and makes an overview on IPS communication since it was adopted by the Government of Albania in 2005.
