Sector Working Groups

Since 2004, donor coordination at sector level is supported by the Sector Working Groups (SWGs) composed by government and donor representatives. The groups concentrate on information exchange of on-going projects but gradually they are focusing also on forward-looking, policy coordination issues, prioritization of assistance and monitoring of implementation.

The challenge ahead of DSDC, DTS agencies and donor focal points, in the short run, is to revitalize some of the non-functioning SWGs and enhance line ministries leadership in the process.
